News: Zappos Customer Accounts Hacked

Another online security breach – this time from popular retailer Zappos – is an unfortunate reminder that our online personal information is never 100% safe.

If you are a Zappos customer, you may need to reset your account password, as Zappos customer service has reset passwords for all affected accounts.

This article from USA Today brings up one very important point. Do you use the same password for all of your online accounts? Like the same password for your email, bank account, Amazon, credit cards, etc?

Did you know that hackers will try to use your password from one account – like Zappos – to log on to other accounts – like your email or bank account? One way to keep your online accounts more secure is to NOT use the same password for all of your accounts. Especially important accounts like email and banking accounts!
