Jim’s Analogy: Your car comes with a recommended maintenance guide from the manufacturer.  Change oil every 3,000 miles, check tire pressure monthly, change transmission fluid every 30,000 miles.  If you neglected your car by not following the manufacturer recommended maintenance, your car may not start, may not last as long as you expect or may even perform in an unexpected way, causing an accident.

So why isn’t maintaining your IT system as straightforward as taking care of your car?
